A Dutch SME offers local weather data for crop growing endusers. The target group of endusers is the group of outdoor crop growers with farms of 50 hectares or more. The data of the Dutch SME combines the knowledge of agronomy, meteorology, software science and business science to contribute to optimal local crop growth.
The precipitation, temperature, humidity and wind are continuously monitored by the local weather stations. Depending on the local need different sensors can be added for monitoring conditions in the air, crop or soil.The data are provided on a computer and an app on a phone.
The Dutch SME does not sell the weather stations but instead offers the data via a subscription method. In case of a possible failure of a sensor on a measurement point there is replacement for free.
The payback period for the farmer is less than 1 year.
